Camille & Summer, sisters and owners

Summer’s favorite color is pink, and Camille’s favorite color is black or blue depending on her mood. Camille cooks Thanksgiving dinner and Summer designs and sets the table scape. Camille is spontaneous and likes to take risks, and Summer is strategic and considered. Can you guess who is a Sagittarius and who is a Virgo? And that’s just a few reasons they make a great pair. Despite their varying tastes, they both think the other one has the best taste and energy ever. Their unique tastes and perspectives on aesthetics, bridal fashion, and just about everything combine to make one of the nation’s favorite bridal brands where brides don’t feel overwhelmed by the variety, but instead feel inspired. We want brides to leave feeling like the process was easy, fun and their aesthetic Pinterest mood board bridal style is attainable after all. If Camille or Summer can see something special in a designer or a dress, it’s coming home to our brides.

Camille refused to go wedding dress shopping in 2011, and her elder, wiser sister forced her. Very luckily. Camille quickly realized she couldn’t be the only one who didn’t like wedding dresses and that she could offer a better experience than what she saw out there. A few months later, Summer and Camille were off to NYC for their first bridal market in the spring of 2012 and they haven’t missed one since. In August of 2012, Summer helped Camille move up to Seattle to open the very first Dress Theory location in Seattle, Washington. Just a short flight from their sunny hometown where Summer stayed. Next, Camille felt called to Nashville’s style and energy where she opened the second TDT in 2013. Finally in 2014, Summer found the perfect house and opportunity to open the third TDT a short walk from her own home in San Diego. Camille currently resides in Nashville with her three children, and goes back to Seattle as often as she can. She luckily married a PNW man and nothing makes the, happier then work trips to Seattle. Summer lives in San Diego with her husband and perfect puppy Harrison, and very politely gets on planes to meet Camille all the time.

  • Gianna Baur

    NASHVILLE MANAGER & BRAND GM

Camille sold Gianna her wedding dress on the opening day of our San Diego boutique. Gianna went home and applied for a position with TDT that night and has been with us since that day nine years ago! Gianna has since moved to Nashville where she works with our southern brides. Our favorite days or when her baby boy Banks can be seen restocking our fridge with water and bubbly. If you’ve ever emailed us anything, she’s probably seen your message. If you ever have a question about any bride, wedding dress, or designer, she knows it! She lives for bridal fashion and shares that love with us everyday!

  • Rhiannon marquis

    SAN DIEGO MANAGER

Rhiannon has worked at our San Diego for eight years, and still surprises us with her boundless energy, zest, and love for life. She is the one inviting us to Silent Discos at midnight in Brooklyn after a day of Bridal Market appointments. She brings that same passion to work everyday. Rhiannon makes everyone feel like the most interesting person, because she really is interested. She’s the real deal! Rhiannon lives in Mission Hills and walks her daughter Malia to school and then walks to the shop in perfect weather. The California dream!

    Rileigh Smith

    SEATTLE MANAGER

With over seven years of experience at The Dress Theory Seattle, Rileigh is our PNW bride whisperer. Bride’s love her calming and empowering presence, and we do too. She’s the mom of the James and the ultimate DIY queen. Not only does she love and care for our brides and team, but it’s not unusual to catch up climbing up a ladder to fix something or patch dents in the wall herself. Rileigh was a TDT bride herself, and tied the knot at a friend’s ranch in Jackson Hole, WY. It was MAGIC, just like her.
