The Dress Theory in Nashville is currently hiring bridal stylists to work directly with our bride-to-be clients on our sales floor!

 

We’re an award-winning bridal shop looking for both full-time and part-time employees to work with our team to lead brides to their dream wedding dress and help foster an environment that makes them feel beautiful, comfortable, and confident. The start date for these positions will be in May!

 

Because the weekends are when most of the magic happens for our shop, weekend availability is a must-have. The bulk of our appointments are on the weekends, so we will require either Saturday or Sunday availability. There’s a small preference for those willing to work both days, but it is not a requirement.

 

For weekday work, responsibilities are a combination of taking appointments, managing emails and calls, scheduling, shipping and receiving inventory, cleaning up the shop, taking photos for social media, and other small parts of being a team for a small, local business. If you have social media experience, we would love to hear more about that.

 

Our team here at The Dress Theory is small but tight-knit, and we truly believe our brides are the best. We’re not your traditional bridal shop and have a bit of an edge to our style. We love brides who want to express their personal style with us, and we want our team to help encourage that environment.

 

Some more specifics: this position does require quite a bit of standing and being on your feet for several hours. We work directly with clients who book appointments weeks or sometimes even months in advance, which means we need candidates who are reliable and respect others' times. We pride ourselves on being flexible, but last-minute schedule changes are hard for us to accommodate as a small business, especially if they are weekend shifts. We don’t want to let our brides down! It’s a special experience for them and we can’t miss an appointment or provide an experience that’s anything less than stellar. Customer service is of utmost importance to us!

 

Skills required:

Organization

Speaking on the phone and with clients in appointments

Typing for emails and other technological needs

Basic spreadsheet knowledge

Sales-motivated (this is important because it helps reach our team goals, earning you more commission!)

 

You’ll report to our store manager, who will help train you, educating you about all the aspects of our business that you will need to be familiar with. We’re looking for someone who enjoys learning new things and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
